I recently installed the twittley plugin on my blog. You see it in every post in the upper left corner. It looks nice and blue. Twittley is an awesome site to use for promoting your blog via twitter with a digg like type of site. I hate to compare sites but that’s what comes to mind.
I am going to go over the top 3 reasons why you should be using twittley plugin. This should help you with growing your blog faster. Since promoting your blog on twitter lead to people stumbling and digging your site.
Reason 1) You won’t need the retweet plugin or the twitthis plugin. Once you got twittley plugin installed and set it up how you want it. When your readers click the blue button. A tweet is sent to twitter and they just voted up your post to reach the front page of twittley. It won’t crash your blog like digg would but give it time. You will be crying about twittley traffic crashed blog in no time.
Reason 2) It’s a lot easier to get on the front page of twittley than it is digg. Well at the moment. I would make the best of it right now before it gets to hard to get the homepage.
Reason 3) If you use the “SexyBookmarks” plugin like I do. Then you already have a digg button. No point an having more than one digg button or twitter button. Twittley sends the tweet to twitter anyway just has a bonus. Your post is getting voted up. As you can see below, you no longer see the twitter button. All tweets must go through my twittley button now.
Bonus Reason) You don’t need to sign up twittley. Just login with your twitter login. How easy is that? Stay logged in so you can click the twittley tweet button without going to a white page. (evil lol)

I like the button, the colour is cool. I use a tweetmeme button and not the plugin. I use the script, I am trying to lower the number of plugins so I coded it. They provide it on their website.
I like the idea about tweeting about a post, get extra exposure and share with others. I had a problem the other day and that was cause I was not logged into Twitter yet, I’m sure you remember me asking you.
I would love to challenge you, but I don’t have many visitors / subscribers as you. Maybe some other time
I use to have DamnSexyBookmarks plugin on my site, then I also removed it and coded my own with social icons – using cans now.
It looks very cool. I have not started Twittering yet, but is in my plan for next month. Thanks for the recommendation!
Well its not about just submitting your posts and having it voted on. You have to be in the community voting for other articles as well. Since I am active in the twittley community. I got a article on the homepage when it only had 4 votes.
Like anything else its about networking and being active.

It seems that you were on Twittley 10 seconds and didn’t read much.
Not all votes counts(votes before submission have no value) plus there is an algorithm, each vote has its own weight.
Please check your link and I’m pretty sure that most of the votes are before submission.
Ps comparing tweetfeeds and twittley is funny. They are 2 completely different sites.

Is me again. I have just downloaded the twittley plugin and have it installed on my blog and it looks great indeed..
Just did a review: Twittley allows users to tweet my posts to their Twitter followers without leaving my site and brings readers to my site..

Yeah, as long as you let your readers know about the button, you such do great. Also, submit all your blog posts to twittley. That way none of your visitors leave your blog.

You always have time to blog. It’s a matter of ideas that becomes the problem. Keeping posts between 300 – 500 words and writing the posts while you watching tv is a great way to do 2 things at one time. If you just sitting back talking with a girlfriend/boyfriend you could be writing a post at the same time. Never tell yourself you don’t have time, the truth is you do, you just don’t realize it.
Let your desire drive your motivation.

Oh if you knew half of my responsibilities you would change your mind. Between moderating blogengage and my other 8 website adventures and working full time I’m seriously strapped for time.
You have a good point regarding ideas. Perhaps this is part of my issue. If all you have online is a blog then it’s pretty easy to say everyone has time. But the reality is many people don’t have the time. If I was to sit with my old, lady and blog she would get upset seeing I’m not paying attention to her.
I was considering blogging in the morning but again I’m a pretty lazy guy and like to sleep in as long as I can. You have good points none the less and they could really help me find time.

I use tweetfeeds now and it’s been working great! Also I had like 16 votes on my submissions and it never seen the front page! yet they had articles with less then 5 votes appearing there!
I guess it’s a good site maybe I’m a little jealous hehe
I actually switched to Twittley from Tweetmeme yesterday and I am loving Twittley. I am still trying to hit page one though. It seems like you and Extreme John have a monopoly on the front page…
In all honesty, I tried out Twittley, and did not really like it. I prefer Tweetmeme — I believe it is a bit of newer. Anyways, I felt like it suited my blog better. Nonetheless, I’m sure many people prefer Twittley.
I think twittley will become more popular than digg or delicious. I just checked the Twittley front page, and there are many pages with 2000+ and 1000+ votes, while in digg or in delicious the maximum numbers of votes that I have seen on front page is 300+.
Yeah I remember, You don’t have to use the plugin. Just to the site, click on button, and then click on other websites. They provide the code. The plugin just makes things easier.
Join the challenge you never know what can happen. Also, how do you know that I got more visitors and subscribers than you? Your blog is a lot older than this one.

Yeah, I was so happy to see that they made a wordpress plugin for it. Makes my life a little easier. I plan on doing a follow up post to show how much traffic came from twittley after a month of using it.

You right I don’t know your responsibilities. Running that many sites by yourself I hope their making you a full time income. If not then I understand as I run a small network of around 7 sites and growing. If your sites are making you a full time income then by all means hire people to take some of that work load off you.
Ideas was my biggest problem when I started my first blog. Once you get that under control you will do fine. As far as working while with your lady. Have her join in a bit, show her some of the things you have done. Maybe she will like to help or start her own blog.
Laziness is a big problem among bloggers. Slowly get in the routine of waking up earlier. It won’t happen over night but if you try, you can slowly change.
I hate TV as well. Their is nothing to watch. (Well very little to watch)
