Many people have cover this topic but no real answer has been posted. Some have come close. I have read too many blogs say you need to post daily while others say post whenever you like. Sad to say both of these answers are wrong. Everybody post schedule is different. Just because the top bloggers post 1 – 3 times a day everyday doesn’t mean you need to do so. Or just because some top bloggers post once a month doesn’t mean you need to do so.
Your post schedule is up to you. If you know you can come up with a really great post about something in your niche once a week then do that. Once you not posting market your blog, build your mailing list, and connect with others by blog commenting and tweeting with others. If you know you can post once every 3 days, do so. Your readers will get use to reading your posts every 3 days.
As long as you focus on your post schedule and not someone else post schedule. You will do fine with blogging. For example, I stepped up my post schedule from once a day to 2 times a day. Why? well for 2 reasons. 1) I want to finish my ebook faster. By stepping up my posts from 1 post a day to 2 posts a day. I can finish my ebook within 3 months and not 6 months. 2) I have a lot to say and want to connect with my readers about the things I have to say. Doesn’t really matter what the topic is. It can be about residual income through GDI, building a better blog, or making money through affiliate marketing from CPA networks like marketleverage.
Take some time to pick your post schedule and build your blog with it. Don’t let anyone tell you different. As long as you don’t let your blog sit there with no new posts for weeks on end. You should do fine.

You need to decide for yourself what the best blogging post schedule is for your blog. If you think 1 post every 3 days is best, then go for it, don’t forget the longer the blog post has been on your home page, the more exposure it gets.
