I am so happy I found this software thanks to a member on the internet marketing mastermind forum. I was going to save my money to buy amember and vBulletin to go along with wordpress to complete my membership site. Also was planning to pay the clickbank fee to get my membership site listed. Now that I found this software to build my membership site free along with using wordpress. I will be launching my membership site a lot sooner. It may take a few months but still jump start mailing list will be my very first membership site and most likely be the most valued site of mine.
The software I am talking about is memberfire. Completely free if you want to run the software on one website. As for an affiliate program, well I have 3 choices. I can go with 7 dollar secrets script, I can go with paydotcom, or I can go with clickbank. When thinking over these 3 options. I can see the pros and cons in all 3 and truth I may end up going with clickbank. First lets look at the pros and cons.
7 dollar secrets
pros:
1. I have full control over who promotes my membership site.
2. I can build a mailing list of all affiliates.
3. Only have to pay paypal fees.
4. Get paid directly into my paypal account.
cons:
1. Doesn’t support recurring payments so I will have to manually search through my paypal account.
2. I will have to pay affiliates manually.
PayDotCom
pros:
1. I have full control over who promotes my membership site.
2. I can build a mailing list of all affiliates.
3. Supports recurring payments.
4. I can pay JV’ Partners higher payouts. (Most likely I would do this with super affiliates)
5. Get paid directly into my paypal account.
6. onetime $29 lifetime activation fee and get unlimited product lines to add for life!
cons:
1. I will have to pay affiliates manually.
2. I will have to pay fees along with paypal fees.
3. onetime $29 lifetime activation fee and get unlimited product lines to add for life!
ClickBank
pros:
1. I can build a mailing list of all affiliates.
2. I don’t have to pay affiliates manually.
3. Supports recurring payments.
cons:
1. I don’t have control over who promotes my membership site.
2. I will have to pay fees along with paypal fees.
3. one-time $49.95 product activation fee.
4. Doesn’t fight chargebacks.
5. Get paid via check.
After looking at the pros and cons. 7 dollar secrets is best for one time payment products. I truly don’t want to be paid by check since all my business is done via paypal. I think I just found what I am going to roll with paydotcom. I can run weekly or monthly affiliate contests. Maybe I should limit the amount of people can join my membership site for the first launch. I don’t know yet.
Which one you think I should use. 7 dollar secrets, paydotcom, or clickbank?

Deneil,
Can you talk about building the membership site. Why is MemberFire Free? Can it be used with wordpress? do you know of member plugins to use with wordpress like bbpress or somethi8ng?
I can’t really say much about building a membership site because this is my first one. I am still learning about it myself. I will do my best to explain everything I learn though. memberfire is free because you must upgrade to use on unlimited amount of sites. For my budget its not cheap. After the first membership site is up and running. I am sure I can afford the upgrade. Yes, you must use it with wordpress. Wordpress will manage all the content. bbpress is a wordpress plugin to add a forum to your site. Personally I prefer the forum wordpress plugin from http://simplepressforum.com
I just signed up for memberfire, and now its asking me for payment? I thought the software was free?!
It is, you have to scroll all the way down to the bottom. It has a skip button if you don’t want to upgrade.
Hey Deneil, I’m going to launch my product soon. Between, I visited 7DollarSecrets and it’s an ebook selling page instead of Script that you mention? How can we list our product over there to sell?
I’ve no idea which one to be used for you and me, both of paydotcom and clickbank charge a fee, seems paydotcom is better since I like to get paid via paypal instead of check.
Deneil, how and when we will get paid by check from Clickbank? I heard someone said there is a lot of requirement before getting paid. I’ve earned $80+ from clickbank, I requested for payment but didn’t receive any notification yet. Can you please advice?
Thanks Deneil!
Regards,
Lee
7 dollar secrets is an ebook and script.
Clickbank sends the check once you get 5 sales from 5 different credit cards and paypal payments don’t count towards the 5 credit cards.
Oh, that’s mean I have to get at least 5 sales from 5 different credit cards in order to get paid by check. If I’m not mistaken, Clickbank doesn’t pay by Paypal right? If this is true, clickbank is not for me.
In this case, seems that paydotcom is better.

Lee
You got it right, I really don’t mind the 5 sales from 5 different credit cards. What bothers me is them paying by check. I much prefer paypal.
paydotcom is looking like the best option for me right now.
Receiving a check and then having to get it banked and cleared sounds like to much. If I was you then I would increase my selling price so that if you pay paypal fees and all, that you are still coming out with what you want. Just my opinion
Good luck with the member site, will look out for it.
Yeah, it does sound like a lot. You still have to transfer the money from your bank account to your paypal account to have funds to run the business.
As for the price of the membership site. I am not sure yet on the price. I want to make sure members are happy with the content, affiliates are happy with the amount their getting, and I get a fair amount per member. I am sure paypal fees will not effect the amount I charge monthly for membership.
