Internet Outage – Internet Is A Must!

by Deneil Merritt on September 9, 2009

I haven’t been posting on the blog late alone online because it was an internet outage in my area. After about 2 days of trying not to lose my mind without internet. I remembered that there’s some apartments next to the park that has wifi without a security code. Went to the park and I was right. Problem was I forgot my laptop was on high performance so it was dead within an hour or hour and half.

So the cable guy came yesterday. It took the cable guy about 2 hours to fix the problem. Let me tell you why before you say why did it take that long. The last cable guy that was here didn’t fix a damn thang. He just add something to fix the problem for the moment. This cable guy was awesome, not only did he fix the cable and the internet but he made the internet faster!

I am completely happy that my father has comcast for the cable and the internet. My father and I also made jokes about the time direct tv salesmen come by. They try to sell us direct tv packages but there’s no way my father or me would switch from comcast to direct tv. Here’s some reasons.

1) I don’t know if direct tv offers internet. :)

2) We tried direct tv before and that was the worst tv experience ever.

So with that being said, you couldn’t pay me nor my father to switch to direct tv. lol

Bottomline internet is a must. There is no way to run an online business without internet. :)

Anyways, I am back online and ready to keep it moving.

I will absolutely get DirectTV when I move from my condo where they won’t let me put on a satilliete. Only reason – NFL SEASON TICKET! I am a falcon fan living in NY.

Definitely hard to make a living online without be connected to the Internet. My connection has been lost before when I had a ton of work to get done that required me online… so I just go to my favorite local restaurant with my laptop. Not only do the have WIFI, but they also let me plug my laptop into their power socket… so I was able to work there for a few hours straight. The place is plenty big that I am not taking up customer space (or I would leave), plus we spend a ton of money in there each month… so no one really minds.

And if that option isn’t available… there is always the local library.

Hello Deneil,

I know how you feel without the Net.
I had that problem a few times.What
I did was different than I was use to.
I found a Company that has Broadband
through an Antenna System. I have never
had one single problem with this System..

It`s almost like having someone here
all the time making sure my Internet
always Functions properly..I have
a two year contract with Skyview
Communacations..

Anyways,I received your Email and
decided to stop by to see whats up..
I guess I know now.Great to have
you back..Keep up the Great work..

To Our Success,
Gary,

Just think of the days when we did not have the Internet. Imagine if we somehow fu*ked up internet, lol, and there were no Internet. What would we do then?

Hi Deneil, I’m glad that you only had a little internet problem (although when it’s out it’s not just a little problem ) I was a little concerned as to what might have been happening with you. Believe me I know what you are talking about when you are without the internet, last week I had the misfortune of going to my blog and seeing the dreaded words… Reported Attack Site!! I thought it was over for me and panic did set in. I’m all under control now, but was without my blog for three days and it was hell. I did at least have the internet but at that time I did think as I paced the floor what would we do without the whole internet, like you said certainly withdrawals… I had it just for my blog. Glad your back . BTW I have a friend who drives around to get internet connections and will sit outside peoples houses, she moved in w/ her parents who only had dial up and so she felt the need to pick up others wifi I’m not sure if that’s legal plus I never had heard of such a thing. Glad your back online. jj

Oh that sucks, how did that happen? I would hate for that to happen to my blog….. lol your friend is smart. I don’t think its illegal to find internet access but to sit outside their house maybe breaking the law. lol
