Today, I want to talk about the wordpress plugin “link demon” I added it as an option in my on site search engine optimization for blogs. A few of you asked why you can’t find it in the wordpress plugin search? Because its not in there. It was never submitted to wordpress. The plugin was made by Paul at the money schemes blog. He first made it only for himself as a test to see will it help his blogs rank higher in google. Well it worked and his blogs got higher positions. Which lead to more traffic and better revenue. He then release it to his readers. Lucky I am one of his readers and one of the first people to use it. I use it on my old blog and it really helped out a lot. Since I forget to link to other blog posts most of the time.
I am going to teach you what to do after you install it and how to leverage it for your blog’s success. There are some do’s and don’t's with this plugin. As long as you do not do the “Don’t” you will be fine.
How To Install The WordPress Plugin Link Demon?
This is pretty simple, Its just like any other wordpress plugin. Ok, if you know how this I will go over it. (If you not new skip this part)
Log into your admin area on your wordpress blog. Click “Plugins” or just click it to bring down the “drop down” menu. Click on “Add New” and then click on “upload” then add the file and click “install plugin” Go to installed plugins and “activate”
Ok, there is no menu with this plugin. You will have to go into each post and scroll down just a bit right under the post area. You going to add a custom fields called “links” and in the field you will have add the keywords for your like this keyword1,keyword2,keyword3,
Now that you know how to install and set up your blog for link demon to work for you. Its time to learn the dont’s.
What I Should Not Do?
1) Never set the same keywords for more than one post.
2) Never place “title” text for your links. If you use a keyword in your title text that you set for link demon. The plugin will place a link in it and the link you place in your post will be broken.
What Should I Do?
1) Remember to always set your keywords for each post.
2) Write your blog post as normal. Link demon will do the internal linking for you.
Now off you go and blog your heart out without thinking about internal linking. Link Demon got your back. If you don’t know where to find the plugin just click the link: Link Demon

I think this plugin will run out of its worth if Google’s new ranking criteria, based on Branding rather than number of links, takes effect.
After reading this article I still don’t know what the plugin is used for.
Sorry man from your article all I can do is assume what this plugin will do.
Where is the benefit, where is the advantage, where is features?
I’m assuming this plugin will automatically link to other blog posts on your blog with similar or the same keywords so you don’t have to?
Wikipedia does this really well and they rank extremely high!
I haven’t tried this particular plugin for auto linkining yet, I currently use aLinks and have for a while it seems to work well for me. I just need to spend more time linking more internal words.
If the plug-in works fine, it would add to the advantage of ranking higher up in Google. The page rank would also see an upward movement.
That is a big “IF” I highly doubt google will ever stop counting links over branding because it would take far too much work to take in account “Branding” to rank sites.
2 words “Internal Linking”
Read it over and you will understand now.
This post isn’t about the benefit and advantage of using the plugin. This post is about how to use the plugin.
Yes, this plugin links to other posts but not the same nor similar keywords.
For example,
Lets say I was using the plugin on this blog and I set the keywords for this post as “how to use link demon” and “link demon” any time I use these keywords in future posts it will link back to this post in those keywords. If I go back to old posts that has these keywords and I click update post it will link to this post in those keywords.
Yeah, internal linking can be hard somethings because you forget what posts you made that is related or useful to the readers. Using this plugin you don’t need to think about internal linking.
I choose not to use the plugin on this blog to make me work harder.
There’s no if about that, you will rank higher in the search engines. (Not only in google)
I agree with Deneil. Doubt Google would do that, at least for a long time. I’ll have a look at this plug in — sounds neat.
Yeah, The plugin is pretty easy to use. Traffic from search engines will rise when targeting the right keywords.
