How To Get Started In Affiliate Marketing Without A Website

by Deneil Merritt on August 8, 2009

One of my family members contacted me on facebook. She asked me to help her make money online. So I began to think of the ways to make money online without a website. Then I remembered that my girlfriend is helping with a case study. I was going to post how to do it and the results later this month. Since one of my family members is ready to get started making money online. I will post it right now. This post will cover how to make money with this formula; Yahoo answers + CPA network + URL shortener = $$$

First you will need to sign up to a CPA (Cost per Acquisition or Cost per Action) network. You get paid from people doing something has simple as submitting their email address to buying something. The CPA networks I recommend are never blue, marketleverage, and peerfly. For this method I highly recommend going with marketleverage. It is much easier for beginners to understand what you can do with each offer.

The CPA network will call you so keep it professional and talk like you know what you are doing. Tell them you are going to promote the offers via web and social media sites. If you know which categories you are going to focus on in yahoo answers, use this as leverage. Ask them which offers are the proforming best in those categories.

For example; If you was going to focus on entertainment. Ask the person on the phone do they have any good offers in entertainment and which offers are performing best.

This makes you seem a lot more professional than a person letting the CPA rep ask them all the questions and giving B.S. answers or saying I don’t know. Trust me, you don’t want that to happen. I almost got drop from marketleverage that way. I would hate to get drop from one of the best CPA networks in the business.

Now that your account has been approved, you can take a look at the CPA network offers. Go to the categories you feel most comfortable with. Make sure that the offer can be promoted via web. This is where marketleverage stand out above the rest. They have buttons under each offer that shows how they can be promoted.

Now that you have your links, you will need to shorten them. Nobody is going to click on a long url link that looks wried. People are more willing to click on shorten url links since twitter became popular. The url shortener you want to use is bit.ly you can track how well your links are doing and compare them to the stats in your CPA network account to make sure everything is working.

Now that you have your links ready. Now its time to do the easy thing of all. Go to yahoo answers, click on the category you are going to focus on, and start answering questions and providing your link in the resource box.

Remember, the offer you picked must be related to the questions you are answering so the visitors will do what you want them to do which is submitting their email or buying something. All depends on which offer you choose to promote.

I hope you found this useful. Any questions or something you want to add leave a comment.

There are currently 2.877.034 results if you search for “buy” on Yahoo Answer. A lot of people are asking what product they should buy and where. This is a golden opportunity as Deneil writes. Simple link them to the product by using your affiliate link and you will most certainly get a few people ordering through your link.

This money making way is new to me, I’ve heard a lot about Never Blue and marketleverage but never tried them before. So it’s like selling products as well? Any differences between marketleverage and clickbank?

I’m going to sign up Yahoo Answers also, I’ve never tried this way to drive more traffic to my blog. Thanks for sharing with us Deneil! :)

Regards,
Lee

I have been hearing a lot about Yahoo answers lately and webmasters seem to be grabbing some nice traffic from doing that from time to time.

Great idea I have use yahoo answers a few times and I was able to drive some traffic to my site form it. So why not drive it directly to a CPA. Just started using CPA myself. I like neverblue pretty slick with rotations and nice offers. Will have to give this a try.

The best advice I can give is to be honest and upfront- if you’re new, let us know! It will help you in the long run, allowing your publisher manager to give you the best advice that will work for your campaign and level of expertise. Are you still doing it? If so how much money you made so far this month?

Reply

Deneil Merritt August 9, 2009 at 6:55 am

That’s why its so great. People are pretty much asking you to provide them your affiliate link as long as they get the product.

No, not at the moment. I’m currently working on my blog mostly. Also, Yahoo Answers made a new rule where only Level 2 accounts can post links. I do have a level 5 account, but I don’t want to risk having it banned.

Yeah, I notice that. My account is a level 1. You can post links but they aren’t clickable. People have to copy and paste them into their browser. I doubt you would get banned, if you posting related links with a answer to the questions.

Give it a try, bring in a 2nd income stream. The difference between marketleverage and clickbank is that all clickbank products that you promote, you must make a sale to get a commission. With marketleverage it all depends on the offer you promoting. Some pay for email submit or zip code submit.
Some pay per signup
Some pay per sale

Some you have a lot to choose from. Neverblue is best for beginners but for this method, marketlaverage is best for beginners because its so easy to identify how you can promote the offers.

Yeah John, it can be very useful. You may even get some new customers for your businesses from there.

Sounds great! Then I’m going to give MarketLeverage a try. In fact, I’m not that good in selling product, but if we can get paid by referring someone to signup or email submit then I think it’ll be better.

Lee

Yeah, I like neverblue. It was the very first CPA network I joined. I like to switch it up a bit. Promote the offer directly and promote a landing page. You know to see which one is doing better.
