Flashback Monday – 1,000 Comments and Social Media Marketing Challenge

by Deneil Merritt on July 20, 2009

I have been very busy this past week. I fell behind in blog commenting big time. I will catch up on blog commenting this week so the traffic here will get another big jump. Of course lots more comments. Yesterday, I posted that the blog reach 1,000 blog comments so that was a nice milestone to reach.

I been working on my ebook that teaches you how to jump start your mailing list through blog commenting. Since my blog and mailing list is always growing from blog commenting. I thought this is the perfect ebook to write. I finish writing it a few days ago. I have my web designer working on the website. So far the design looks great. Very clean and simple. Truth be told I was thinking about putting this ebook for sell on clickbank for $27 before buying the 7 dollar secrets. Since I am always on a tight budget like most people. I set the price for $9.95 to help out those that really want to learn but can’t afford to spend $27 on an ebook. I hope you guys and gals enjoy the ebook and apply the knowledge you learn from it. I should be launching the ebook some time this week. (Hopefully)

In other news, I did 2 guest posts which was pretty fun. They are called how to start an article writing business and payoff your debt using a blog. 2 of my friends ask me to do a guest post on their blogs so I will be doing 2 guest posts week.

Now lets see what I came across this past week using stumbleupon and twitter.

In The Mind Of Deneil Merritt
I went over the power of leverage last week. I must say that “leverage” is one of my favorite words. The is so many things we leverage in business and in life. I could not run my business without leverage. I went over what I do after I published a post. The post was pretty fun to do because I realize it helped so many people.

I turned the tables on you all with two posts by asking you guys and gals a question. If you have not read and answered the questions. Please go ahead and answer the questions why do you blog? and am I really a B-list blogger? I think you will have fun answering them. I also came across a really good post while I was on digg that show places to live in the world for $500 a month.

Since I am catering to my passion to help others. I need your help to help you. I want to start something new with Flashback Monday post series. If you finding blogs like I am by going to all of the commentators blogs and their commentators blogs and adding all of them to your RSS feed reader. You know its pretty hard to keep finding more because you see the same people over and over. You know we stuck in the same circuits (blog networks). I am in about 10 circuits and can’t seem to find more blogs. Maybe because I am not going to the main source but I like things convenient. So I want to do something that will help us all add more blogs to our RSS feed readers to drive traffic to our blogs via blog commenting.

Steps To Bring More Blogs To All Of Us

1) Make people aware of Flashback Monday post series.
Click the twittley button to share on twitter (make sure you logged into twittley) and click the buttons below. (Click as many as you can)

2) Add all the blogs from the commentators to your RSS feed reader
Make sure you comment on their blogs so they visit your blog.

3) Add me on social media sites so we can help each other promote our blogs
Check out the social media marketing challenge.

Are you helping the community to grow your blog?

Congratulations on 1000 comments! I’ve recently revamped my blog, so I’m not even close to that number.
Mostly, I’m just clicking around and commenting on blogs I think are interesting. Keep up the good work!

So you will write and sell your own products : E-book? That’s what I was planning even before I read the $7 secret. But after reading the Ebook, just like you, I changed my mind about charging my products arround $25. I think more people should purchase the $7 secret ebook.

Hey Deneil. I like the idea that you have going for building a community. I think that this idea has a lot of promise, and there’s so many ways to take it. We could build a Facebook group, we could start a forum, we could put a little banner on our sites that identify us as a group that would link back to a central page… there’s just so many ways to take this.

I believe that the era of unions in the blogosphere is approaching, and that in order to move mountains, we must come together and become powerful together.

Yet again a nice list of interesting stuff to keep me distracted! I was grabbed by the ‘places to live in the world for $500 a month’ link but sadly the link doesn’t seem to work. I found the article on the site and it looks like it just needs a ‘/’ on the end of the URL. Anyway, the article there is pretty interesting – I think a lot of people who are hoping to make some money online have a dream of living wherever they want. Sadly the comments over on that article suggest that $500 a month may not be enough! Still, quite like the idea of working from the beaches of Thailand for a bit….I wish!

Yeah, my girlfriend and I are planning on traveling the world. Maybe stay in places for a month to 3 months and then move to the next country. I just want my income online to reach $5k a month before I do so. You know? Make sure we can afford the trip.

Thank you. As long as people keep posting great articles the Flashback Monday post series will always be here. I am really happy I found the 7 dollar secrets so I can offer a really good price to help out others and not placing it on clickbank for $27. I know less money for me but a lot more people will get to know this knowledge.

You guys misread what I said. I wrote, “I am glad to see you liked my 7 Dollar Secrets suggestion.” I DID NOT create the report and software. Jonathan Leger was the original creator.

I assumed Deneil purchased it after he read my post: http://www.makingmoneyonline.com/the-best-way-to-get-started-selling-information/

Maybe someone else told him about it?

Sorry for the confusion :)

Reply

Deneil Merritt July 20, 2009 at 7:29 pm

lol, naw I bought it before I read that post.

Reply

Benjamin Cip July 20, 2009 at 7:32 pm

LoL I though from reading Deneil’s comment that it was you the creator of the report! Well, it’s a nice e-book anyway!

I have visited Kushmoney a few times, which is still ran by you, right?

Reply

Deneil Merritt July 20, 2009 at 8:07 pm

Yeah that is the idea. I wouldn’t set all your products at $7 but its up to you.

Reply

Deneil Merritt July 20, 2009 at 9:01 pm

Yeah, it would take some time to get to the point were I’m ready to start a facebook group and/or forum. Until then I think the best site to contact with other bloggers is http://www.blogengage.com
