I talked about why my ebook never sold a single copy. One thing I left out of that article, I want to talk about today. Thanks to a commentator, I remember this one mistake I did with my ebook. One thing you focus on before and after you have launched a product is getting affiliates. This is one thing I spent about a few minutes doing. This is one of the worst mistakes you can do. Affiliates are one of their most important parts of your product success. Doesn’t matter if its an ebook, membership site, or whatever.
Lets say its just you promoting your product. How many sales do you think you can get? For this example, I am going to say you got enough skills to get 1 sale a day for a $20 product. 30 days in that month. $20×30 results in $600 for that month. Not bad right? You only one person, picture that with a lot more force behind it.
Still product and for this example, its you and 10 affiliates with the same skills as you. You pay affiliates 50% on every sale. You each make 1 sale a day for 30 days. $20×30 which resulted in $600 from you promoting. 10 affiliates does the same as you but they get 50%. So 10 affiliates x $300 each result in $3,000 in your bank account or paypal account from your affiliates. You total for the month is $3,600.
Do you see the power in having affiliates promoting your product? Having an army of affiliates will result in big sales and even better. If you build a mailing list just for your affiliates to sign up too. You will have great success for every product launch you do because you built an army of affiliates ready to product all your products.
I am sure you got my point by now. Don’t count out affiliates! They are your bread and butter so treat them well and everyday recruit more to promote your products. You should at least put away 30 minutes of your time everyday just to recruit more affiliates. Sure you will get a lot of affiliates that will drive un-targeted traffic to your sales page and result in no sales. They are getting more eyes on your brand and getting your name out there if you have your name on the sales page. Whenever they email you, help them as best you can. You never know if that person turn into a super affiliate from promoting your product. While this is happening, I am sure some big name bloggers or super affiliates will come across your product and start promoting it.

Hey Deneil, I didn’t know you had written an ebook. I am or have been in the process of writing one for quite some time now. The reason for the length of time is half due to not enough time to work on it, and when I do work on it I want it right and not sure if I’m putting in too much fluff so to speak. I want it to get to the point and not have all of that stuff you see with some ebooks long drawn out ads and words that don’t have to be in the book. then I’m not sure if I want to sell it through my site or go with clickbank and have them make money from it. But after what you just wrote do you recommend ClickBank I’ve heard they take a lot of ones profit but as you said they will get the word out. What do you suggest, and Have you tried again to promote your ebook? Good luck with it, I’m sure it will be great.
Having an Army of affiliate is a must, but my mistake was that I didn’t have any banner to offer them for promoting my services/products. Of course I had an affiliate link for them, but I didn’t have any banner like 125×125 button or whatever. I have to get the design done for me soon. Do you use your OIOpublisher affiliate program to sell your ebook too?
I haven’t gone with clickbank yet but I do recommend it. You can get a lot of affiliates quick.
Providing promotional tools for your affiliates is a must for quick and easy success. Just remember to keep getting affiliates. No, I am not selling my ebook with oiopublisher. I was using 7 dollar secrets but found something better. I am now givingaway ebooks because I have a membership site in the works. Almost done with the research part of things.
Building an army of affiliates is the way to get a high volume of sales but how do you get this army ?If you have a decent sized list then the answer is somewhat obvious. In another article you stated that you did not create enough buzz about your e-book before launch.Combining these two elements with quality content coming from a perceived authority are the ‘trifacta ‘ of a winner’s race.
Using clickbank or payDotCom or Plimus may cost you part of your commission or percentage of profits but it simplifies the act of creating affiliate kinks. without the need for an expensive script running on your server. Also a residual income from sales in the future using such services can result long after you stop promotions.
If you don’t have a list then I recommend learning how to build an affiliate army with sales army secrets. Also, it doesn’t matter if you use clickbank, paydotcom, plimus, or your own script. If you do not build a strong relationship with your affiliates then once launch week is over, sales will fall. You really got to stay active on building your affiliates for post launch profits.
In a quest to learn more about building a targeted profitable mailing list, I have learned a lot regarding profiting from selling digital products. Who knew it was all tied into each other. No matter what products I launch from now on, I will make a profit from the things I have learned this month.
